|Description:||As a Production Scheduler for Southeastern Paperboard, you will schedule and coordinate the flow of work within or between machines and buildings to efficiently expedite production. You will learn about how we process various paperboard through our plant. You will be an important member of our team and work closely with the paper board operations team to ensure that customer expectations are either met or exceeded.|
|Duties:||•Determines production priorities by reviewing customer orders and requirements and production schedules; analyzing equipment, materials, and employee availability; coordinating schedules with sales and warehousing.|
•Schedules and communicates transfers of raw materials from external warehouses to the plant.
•Publishes production schedule by identifying products, equipment, sequence, completion dates, etc.
•Distributes work orders to the production floor, denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
•Monitors production by comparing progress to schedule.
•Resolves scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information and developing solutions.
•Prepares reports by compiling and summarizing production and downtime data
•Updates production priorities by reviewing production output and new requirements.
•Monitors and adjusts inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production; releases raw material to meet production schedule.
•Skilled at customer communication pertaining to delivery issues.
•Interacts effectively with other departments to meet production schedules.
•Identifies opportunities to improve job to minimize waste
|Qualifications:||Minimum of at least 3-5 years experience in a production planning role.|
Highly Proficient in the use of Excel.
Able to multi-task and handle moderate pressure.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to organize and schedule based on multiple inputs and changing variables.
